Our client is a leading international construction group focusing on high end corporate office and retail fit-out projects across the region.

Due to an increase in workload they are currently looking for an experienced Project Director.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Project Director is responsible to the Senior Director for the successful delivery of all
projects assigned to him.
Delivery Management
Ensure that all projects are completed to the Organization Standards expected
both internally and externally by local and International Clients and Consultants.
Operational Processes and Procedures which are standardized within the organization are
implemented on each and every project to ensure proper planning and Risk Management.
Proper Resources Planning for each project is implemented to ensure appropriate coverage
on projects.
Continuous liaison with Clients and Consultants on the various projects underway to ensure
their expectations are being met.
Appropriate Operational Management Goals are in place for staffing to adequately carry out
their duties.
Project site’s are in a condition which reflects professional contracting image
at all times.
Health & Safety codes / practices and legislation are being rigorously implemented on all
Issues when they arise are being dealt with in a proactive rather than reactive manner.
Project close-out is being planned from the outset in terms of Testing & Commissioning,
Warranties and Guarantee’s. As-builts and O&M Manuals, Client Training and Snagging /
Defects and Financial / Final Accounts.
Financial Management
Project Profit Plans / Targets are being set achieved.
Site related general expenses and administrative expenses are being rigorously controlled by
the project supervisory team.
Site Instructions are being coordinated with the Project Managers and Cost Managers and
keyed into the Change Order process so that the company is not financially exposed.
All Sub-contractors are Pre-qualified and have up to date information in relation to
insurance’s filed with the Company.
Sub-Contractors are inducted into the StructureTone operational processes & procedures.
Staff Training
Operate a training plan for all staff including Health & Safety and Environmental control.
Identify key staff with development potential and plan their training accordingly.
Business Planning / Management
Contribute to the annual Business Plan in terms of Resource Planning, Departmental /
Company Strengthening Initiatives and Developing SMART Goals.
Be an integral part of the overall Business Management in terms of Department Strengthening,
delivery and cost control.
Pre-qualification & Proposal Submissions & Interview
Ensure sections requiring Operational input / preparation are completed professionally and
fully thought out to enhance our submission within the internal deadlines set by the Prequalification
/ Proposal Leader.
Ensure appropriate attendance and preparation for Mid-Tender and Post-Tender Interviews.
Marketing & Business Development Support
Contribute to the business marketing and business development goals by:-
Engendering repeat business from existing Client and Consultants.
Further develop and enhance relationships with Clients and Consultants to ensure
consideration for all relevant opportunities.
